Episode 16: Misa @ Oahu Fringe Festival
In this podcast, we talk to Misa Tupou, organizer and founder of the Oahu Fringe Festival. We talk about performances, arts in Hawaii, the festival, buying cabaret outfits off Ebay, and how nobody can buy a New Zealand soccer jersey.
A Fringe festival is an international festival originating in Edinburgh, Scotland. It's a performing arts festival which welcomes everyone and has no formal rules regarding the performances. It has the same vibes as the Salon des Refusés (literally "exhibition of rejects") which came about after many now famous French Impressionist's paintings were denied from the mainstream salon in 1863.
