Book Pairing #14: Freakonomics

I enjoyed Freakonomics when it first came out in 2005.  The book was the start of my long love affair of unintended consequences, irrational decision making, and erroneous risk assessment (both in studying these concepts and being all too aware of how I was ruining my life). Steven Levitt, the author, faced a lot of criticism for a his research and his uncomfortable conclusions, such as abortion laws affecting crime rates.  In our Car2Go podcast, we bring up the uncomfortable policy of making it more expensive to drive in Hawaii to reduce traffic.
